Aimee Chaille, MA, LMFT
Couples and Individual Therapist
Philosophy and Approach
Serves (ages 14+) Couples and Individuals
Relationships can be complicated. They are also a critical ingredient in our quality of life. My deep appreciation for the intricacy involved in healthy connections is what draws me to work with people on their relationships. I specialize in working with couples, across a variety of areas including but not limited to communication, work stress and life balance, pre-marital, intimacy, infidelity, anxiety, transition, conflict management, parenting, blended, non-traditional and extended family.
Experience and Education
After more than twenty years as a marketer and communications specialist in technology, I wanted a change. I completed a master’s program in Marriage and Family Therapy at Antioch University Seattle and am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Washington. I have experience working in crisis and community mental health settings as well as private practice. I have completed Levels I and II in Gottman Method Couples Therapy (GMCT) and use GMCT in my work with couples as well as a systems perspective, Bowen theory or the influence of family patterns, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I am also trained in Discernment Counseling, which is a specific protocol used with couples when one partner wants to stay in the relationship (leaning in), while the other partner is leaning out.
I am preferred provider with Premera and Regence, Aetna, First Choice, and Kaiser Permanente (KFHP), I am pending in-network status with United Behavioral Health. I accept allowable out-of-network fees in the meantime. Please call for inquiries regarding additional insurance plans.
