Philosophy and Approach
Serves (ages 21+) Individuals and Couples
As a licensed marriage and family therapist (Lic: LF60090294), I view each individual’s problems in the context of their life and relationships. My approach to therapy is best described as brief evidenced-based, relational, and outcomes-focused. I provide therapy services to:
Individuals whose interests are: (a) personal growth; (b) effective management of anxiety and depression; (c) relationship skill development, and (c) career transitions.
Couples whose interests are: (a) relationship enhancement; (b) communication skills to promote openness, understanding, and intimacy; (c) reconciliation after infidelity; and (d) discernment or divorce therapy.
Family business owners whose interests are optimizing workplace performance and profitability while strengthening family member relationships.
I often assign homework and ask clients to read pertinent articles. When appropriate, I use assessment tools and questionnaires to gather additional information. The length of treatment varies from client to client and couple to couple, generally ranging from one to four months.
Experience and Education
I am a clinical fellow and an Approved Supervisor of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy. My specialization training is in couples therapy. My education, training and experience have prepared me to counsel individuals of all ages, ethnicities, race, religion, and sexual orientation. When not counseling clients in private practice, I serve as Teaching Faculty at Antioch University Seattle’s School of Applied Psychology, Couples and Family Therapy specialization, and supervise licensed associates as they work toward full credentialing. I am completing a Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy with a Specialization in Couples Therapy at Northcentral University.
I am an in-network provider for Premera, Regence, Aetna, United Behavioral Health, Group Health Cooperative, and First Choice. I am also in-network with Wellspring EAP, Alliance EAP, First Choice EAP and LifeSynch EAP Programs.
