Serves (16+) Individuals and Couples
Philosophy and Approach
As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I work with individuals, couples and families. My approach to therapy is client-focused with an emphasis on including the whole system when defining the problem that may bring you to therapy. My work is individually tailored to meet the needs of the client/s, which means that the methods/theories I include in our sessions will be based on what best serves your personality and needs. We are all unique! Some of the theoretical perspectives I like to work within include Bowenian Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and Internal Family Systems from an overall trauma perspective. I love working with clients to help them achieve their goals, increase overall well-being, and gain insight into the source of their thoughts and behaviors. I’m from New York City, so I tend towards being more direct as a therapist, but with patience and compassion. It is important for me to deeply understand and work within my client’s cultural backgrounds – spiritual, religious, ethnic, geographic and family structure.
Some of the issues you may see me for include: anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, parenting, relationship distress, family distress, and personal wellness.
