Shellie Gravitt, MA, LMFT
Individual, Couple and Family Therapist
Philosophy and Approach
Serves (ages 18 +) Individuals, Couples and Families
As a couple and family therapist, I provide counseling for individuals, couples, and families dealing with a variety of concerns, including personal growth, difficulties related to parenting, relationship issues, anxiety, depression, and trauma. I work from a person-centered and strengths-based approach. With couples I use Emotionally Focused Therapy, known as EFT. This modality guides couples out of conflictual cycles and allows for movement towards connection and understanding.
I specialize in treating: adults who face challenges managing ADHD, men who struggle with feeling connected in their relationships, men who want to get a better handle on their anger, and individuals who experience emotions intensely.
Experience and Education
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LF60727738) in the State of Washington. I hold a Master’s of Art in Psychology from Antioch University Seattle, and a Bachelor’s degree in Dance from the University of Memphis. I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults both individually and with their families in a diversity of settings including homes, prisons, schools and community mental health settings.
I am preferred provider with Premera, Regence, United Behavioral Health, First Choice, Kaiser Permanente (KFHP), and Aetna. Please call for inquiries regarding additional insurance plans.
