Philosophy and Approach

I provide counseling for children, adolescents, individuals and couples, using a combination of therapy techniques. I am a trained art therapist and also utilize mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy, strength based therapy and problem solving therapy. My approach to therapy is collaborative and I work closely with clients to determine therapeutic goals.
I have over fourteen years experience helping clients with grief, abuse, anxiety, eating disorders and other mental health concerns.
I assist children with adjustment to divorce or family strife, anxiety, struggles in school, bullying, and self-esteem. I also have a great deal of experience working with clients who are overcoming health concerns.
Experience and Education
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the State of Washington (LW60278527). I have my Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Alabama and my Master’s Degree in Social Work from Florida State University. I also have a two year Art Therapy Certification from the University of California San Diego. I am an adjunct professor at University of Southern California VAC Graduate School.
I am also a mediator and Child Specialist for King County Collaborative Law.
I am an in-network provider with Premera, Regence, First Choice, Kaiser Permanente (KFHP), United Behavioral Health, Aetna and Wellspring EAP. Please call for inquiries regarding additional insurance plans.
