ABOUT

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I strive to create a safe accepting space for my clients to process difficult experiences and learn new practices to decrease distress or regain balance after major life changes. My approach to counseling is person-centered, solution-focused, and strength-based.  I meet clients where they are, collaborating and learning together where it is they would like to be. I’m passionate about supporting people’s intersectional identity journeys to navigate the areas of gender, sexual, cultural, spiritual, and racial identities. At times I will incorporate mindfulness, expressive arts, neuroscience psychoeducation, and play therapy interventions with the aim to increase the client’s abilities to overcome obstacles. The therapeutic relationship and the use of these interventions help in decreasing distress experienced due to anxiety, depression, flashbacks, panic attacks, and mood instability. I also have ample experience working with youth and adults recovering from a wide variety of difficulties including grief, relationship problems, depression, trauma, anxiety, family adjustments, and life transitions. The foundation of my work is trauma-informed grounded in Existential Therapy and Somatic Psychotherapy. I encourage clients to gain a deeper understanding of their unique mental, emotional, social, physical, and spiritual well-being through the exploration of their experiences, sense of purpose, values, worldview, and therapeutic objectives.

My experiences as an educator, mentor, and advocate of youth and adults over the last 15 years inform my ability to adjust interventions to fit my client’s specific needs.

I am a Preferred Provider with Aetna, Cigna, First Choice, Kaiser Permanente, and Premera.  Please call for inquiries regarding additional insurance.

Self-Pay

A Good Faith Estimate of expected charges will be provided when scheduling an appointment or upon request for self-pay clients.

Cancellation Policy

Must cancel 24 hours before the appointment to avoid $100 fee.
