About Me

I am the Owner and Clinical Director of Envision Counseling, PLLC. I have provided individual and couple therapy and consulted with family-owned businesses for over 20 years. My education, training, and experience have prepared me well to provide multiculturally responsive therapy services for individuals of all ages, ethnicities, races, religions, genders, and sexual orientations.

Approach to Therapy

I view each individual’s problem in the context of their life and relationships. My approach to therapy is best described as brief, systemic, client-centered, and outcome-focused. My areas of clinical interest include developing communication strategies to increase openness and understanding, recovering after infidelity, transforming negative patterns of interaction, and enhancing personal and professional development. I often assign homework and ask clients to read pertinent articles. When appropriate, I use assessment tools and questionnaires to gather additional information. The length of treatment varies from client to client and couple to couple, generally ranging from three to nine months.

When not providing therapy and clinical supervision services, I serve as an adjunct faculty member in the Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision (CES) Program at Antioch University Seattle’s School of Counseling, Therapy and Wellness.

Experience & Education

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, a Clinical Fellow of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), and an AAMFT and Washington State Approved Supervisor. In 2020, I earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Marriage and Family Therapy, with a specialization in Couple Therapy from Northcentral University. In 2013, I received the Educator of the Year award from the Washington State Association of Marriage and Family Therapy. To broaden my systemic training as a consultant to family-owned businesses, I completed in 2007, a Master’s Certificate in Organization, Management and Development from Fielding Graduate University. In 2003, I  obtained a Master’s degree in Psychology, Child, Couple and Family Therapy from Antioch University Seattle.
