ABOUT

I began studying psychology in high school accidentally, at first, and never stopped.  While my undergraduate psychology degree was accompanied by additional majors in political science and women’s studies, it was the psychology that kept infiltrating my professional life.  Despite spending a decade in the business world of marketing, advertising, operations and business development, I continued to feel the pull to return to the helping profession.

When I hit thirty, I left my advertising job, got sober, and went to work on a new career.  After completing my certificate in Chemical Dependency, I entered the field as the counselor for a juvenile drug court.  The work I did here with adolescents and families solidified my decision to pursue a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy.  The pervasiveness of co-occurring disorders and the impact that a comprehensive treatment team can have on the individual stuck with me.  Since completing my masters I have worked at all levels of care within addiction and mental health.  I have worked with teens, adults, families, and professionals.

With an attachment and recovery focus, I partner with my clients to pursue the changes they desire.  My specialties include addiction and recovery, attachment issues/codependency, professional development and fertility/perinatal counseling.  In addition to individual and couples counseling, I offer business coaching for those wanting to take their business or professional life to the next level.
