ABOUT
As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate, I provide counseling to individual adults. My focus in therapy is to create a space where my clients can breathe and heal. While I look at the situation through Attachment Theory lens, I combine evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with Neuropsychology interventions to help them achieve the best results.
I work with anxiety and depression caused by major life events. I have a particularly deep understanding of the emotional challenges of immigration and parenthood. In our sessions, clients and I concentrate on their immediate experience and learn how to shift the pattern of initial responses to life events. The goal is to find or develop coping strategies to achieve the client’s desired outcome.
With my clients, we learn how the client’s brain and nervous system react to stressors, and create a map of such responses for potential adjustment or acceptance. We also focus on finding self-destructive cognitive patterns and how they contribute to the client’s negative life experiences. Attachment theory helps me to create a healing connection to make the change possible.
