Bill Sinclair, MSW, LICSW
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Washington State. As a strengths-based, recovery-oriented and wellness-based practitioner, I continue to develop skills in Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Cognitive Based Therapy (CBT) and Narrative Approaches to therapy.
These therapeutic techniques help me to assist people who want to live a more conscious and confident life. Connecting to your authentic self is a dynamic process which is available to you every day. Together, we can discover the ideas and beliefs that will help to open your life.
As a member of the LGBTQ community, I enjoy working with LGBTQAI+ persons at all stages of life. I strive to be culturally, gender and racially inclusive in my practice. While I was raised in the Christian faith, I now incorporate a great deal of eastern philosophy, Hinduism and mindfulness practice in my understanding of the life experience. I bring an east/west approach to my practice which is open and welcoming to your unique life experience and expression.

I began my practice in New York City as a member of a community outreach team that provided support to people who were experiencing homelessness and mental illness. I also worked in outpatient substance use treatment providing group and individual counselling. Later I joined the Psychiatric Emergency Team in an Emergency Department where I provided crisis assessment and interventions as well as mental health evaluations. I continued this work once I moved to Seattle. I have also worked in a Hospital-based Partial Hospitalization Program providing individual and group therapy.
My background in various aspects of mental health practice provides a rich foundation for my individual therapy practice. I work with Adults (18 +) and Seniors (64+) who are coping with changes and obstacles in their life.
