Perinatal

Our clinicians address pregnancy, infertility, traumatic childbirth, the NICU experience, newborn phase issues, and the transition to parenthood.

It has been estimated that 1 in 7 women will experience serious mood and anxiety disorders during the perinatal period which ranges from pregnancy to early parenthood. With proper treatment and support, women can and do recover from mental health concerns and even enjoy parenting.

Many women and/or couples seek counseling to address concerns including struggling with infertility, pregnancy, traumatic childbirth, NICU experience, newborn phase difficulties, and adjusting to parenthood. This looks different for every woman so logically treatment should be approached with her unique needs in mind. Here’s how it works: when you come in for an assessment, we talk about your concerns and goals for overall health and well-being. We work together to determine the right treatment plan for you and your family, often integrating your baby and partner if applicable. If you think you’re ready for support in a judgement-free, relaxed environment, give us a call!

Our counselors are in-network providers for most major health insurance companies, including but not limited to: Aetna, Cigna, First Choice, Kaiser Permanente, Premera, Regence, and Optum/United Healthcare.   Please call 206-858-1177 for additional details.
