Academic coaching benefits secondary and collegiate students by enhancing their academic, social, and self-management skills.
Coaches work with students to identify and strengthen their unique learning styles, develop effective study skills, and create plans and strategies for managing academic responsibilities.
Topics include effective time management, digital and multi-media expertise, learning styles and study strategies, literacy skills, and test taking strategies for standards-based assessments. Additionally, students learn to make and sustain new friendships, increase effective interpersonal communication, develop strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills, and build positive and supportive social networks.
