ABOUT
Finding a therapist can feel like a big step, and I believe finding someone you feel comfortable with is an essential part of that process. I approach therapy with warmth, curiosity, and compassion, and strive to create a space where you can show up as your authentic self. I believe therapy is a place where real healing can happen. It can be a space to process experiences, find words for your story, and wrestle with the parts of your story that may feel difficult or unfinished. Therapy can offer comfort in the unknown, provide a space to be witnessed in your pain, and help us better understand the relationships we have and the ones we hope to move towards.
As a therapist, I strive to balance compassion with honesty. I will offer support and understanding while also gently challenging you when it may be helpful. This can look like exploring a pattern you may not have noticed, looking at something from a different perspective, or encouraging you to step outside of what feels familiar.
My approach is rooted in relational psychodynamic psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I believe that understanding ourselves with kindness and curiosity can help us recognize where our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors come from and create new ways of responding that feel more aligned with who we are and how we want to live.
My hope is that therapy can be a place where you feel seen, heard, supported, and hold individual agency while developing greater self-awareness, learning new ways of relating and responding, and moving toward a life that feels more fulfilling and aligned with who you are.
My clinical experience includes working with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, eating disorders, trauma and PTSD, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and behavioral challenges in a variety of settings, including partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, outpatient, schools, and within the community.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time in nature, crocheting, reading, watching documentaries, collecting vinyls, caring for my many houseplants, and spending time with my partner and fur babies.
