Liam Kelly, MSW, LSWAIC
I am a social worker with experience working with children and teens in various settings, including foster care, summer camps, and as a therapist. I earned my bachelor’s degree in social work from Pacific Lutheran University and my master’s degree from the University of Washington.
In recent years, I have focused on medical client work in hospital settings, where I work with adolescents, teens, and parents. In my free time, I co-lead a parent support group for parents of newly diagnosed children and teens. Despite my experience in medical settings, I am eager to return to working as a therapist.
My approach to therapy is person-centered, strength-based and outcomes focused. I work with clients to clarify their goals for therapy and develop treatment plans tailored to their individual needs. I use CBT, an evidence-based therapy modality, and a variety of therapy techniques including reframing, psychoeducation, role-playing, relaxation, breathing methods for stress reduction, and strength-centered talk therapy.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with loved ones and my dogs. My hobbies include photography, hiking, video games, anime/manga, reading, and visiting museums.
